At Whitson Dawson, we are a strong believer in community. We ensure to do our part to not only assist in the financial matters of many local businesses, but also to give back to Mackay, the place we have grown along with for over a hundred years.
Over the years, Whitson Dawson has proudly supported countless charities, businesses, and community activities through a wide range of sponsorships and donations.
One of the initiatives we have is to partner up with CQUniversity. Through the CQUniCares program, Whitson Dawson has helped recognise and support the hard work of CQUniversity’s students, awarding aspiring young talent with the Whitson Dawson Accounting Prize.
Always devoted to the Mackay region, Whitson Dawson is proud to be part of this initiative. By lending out local support and opportunities to students, we hope to further strengthen our region’s future employment opportunities, enabling the next generation to continue growing and developing in the Mackay region.
Every year we offer two awards to two CQUniversity students.
Prize Name: Whitson Dawson First Year Accounting Prize
Prize Criteria: Earners achieve the best result (measured by GPA) in their first year of the Bachelor of Accounting course in the Mackay region.
Prize Name: Whitson Dawson Second Year Accounting Prize
Prize Criteria: Earners achieve the best result (measured by GPA) in their second year of the Bachelor of Accounting course in the Mackay region.
